IELTS Language - 2500 words are needed to achieve a score of 7 to 8 on the IELTS test.

One of the most important subjects to learn when studying for the IELTS exam is vocabulary.

Here are over 2500 IELTS vocabulary words in 25 different topics that will help you get a band +7.5 to 8 on the test.

Is It Necessary To Study IELTS Vocabulary?

Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking are the four parts of the IELTS test.

You should have a good vocabulary history for each segment so that you can deal with it and achieve a high band 7 - 8 ranking.

  • The Listening portion of the IELTS has a lot of IELTS vocabulary.

The IELTS listening section is divided into four sections, the first of which is the easiest and the last of which is the most difficult.

You'll hear a wide range of IELTS terms spoken at various speeds and with a British accent.

In a few instances, you can detect an Australian accent on one of the records.

In particular, in part 4, you can hear numbers, letters, names, directions, mono expression, and conversations using everyday language, as well as academic and science compound words.

  • In the Reading portion of the IELTS, there is a lot of vocabulary.

The reading portion of the IELTS test consists of three reading passages with a total of 40 questions, which you must complete in one hour.

The average time for each reading passage is 20 minutes, but many IELTS teachers tend to read the passage in as little as 6 to 8 minutes in order to save time when answering the question.

  • In the Writing portion of the IELTS, there is a lot of vocabulary.

As you might be aware, your IELTS essays for task 1 and task 2 are evaluated using four parameters.

One of these requirements is lexical resource, which assesses the words you use in your article, as well as how extensive your vocabulary is and how well you know how to use it.

Your final score will improve if you use the right terms in the right way, use synonyms, and avoid tautology.

If you use terms incorrectly; if you confuse the shape of a word (for example, instead of an adjective, use a noun, etc. ); if you do not use synonyms and repeat the same words; if you spell several words incorrectly, your IELTS writing score will suffer.

  • In the Speaking portion of the IELTS, there is a lot of vocabulary.

Again, lexical resource or vocabulary use is one of the factors on which the IELTS examiner can base the final score in the speaking segment.

To achieve a high score on this criteria, you must be familiar with a broad range of words related to the subject of discussion.

You should be familiar with a wide range of vocabulary and synonyms related to the popular topics covered in the speaking section.

"Just keep in mind that the more advanced IELTS words you correctly use, the higher your score would be."
